NSS IIT Bombay has published an inspiring story of Mr. Sagar Koshti who is one of the core member of CWC family and working at IIT Bombay
Mr. Sagar Koshti is a silent force behind inclusivity at IIT Bombay’s Central Library. His journey to IIT Bombay Central Library is extraordinary. Hailing from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Sagar, a person with low vision, achieved an MPhil in Economics and successfully cleared the IIT Bombay entrance exam. Today, he not only serves as a junior administrative assistant but plays a pivotal role in ensuring equal access to knowledge.
For seven years, Sagar has been stationed at the circulation counter, the gateway to countless stories within the library. His responsibilities extend beyond mundane tasks as he oversees a dedicated section catering to visually impaired individuals, meticulously maintaining tools and machines that bridge accessibility gaps.
Drawing from his personal experiences, Sagar empathetically understands the challenges of accessibility. His tireless efforts are directed towards overcoming these challenges, transforming the library into a genuinely inclusive space.
Sagar transcends his role as a staff member; he is a silent force advocating for inclusivity. In the vast tapestry of IIT Bombay, he represents one of many “invisible humans” making substantial contributions to the institution’s inclusive spirit.
CWC family congratulat him for this achievement.
